A little cottage,
plenty of character
Lovingly renovated, this cosy one-bedroom cottage is small but cleverly laid out. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen and sitting room open through stable doors onto the garden and fields beyond.
Upstairs, the double bedroom leads via a rolling ladder to a tucked-away mezzanine with a library and desk. The generous bathroom has a beautiful roll-top bath and large separate shower.
"We had the most wonderful stay at Charlotte's house in Bridge, Canterbury. The place is absolutely gorgeous - so cute, comfortable, and beautifully kept - and the surrounding area is outstanding. Charlotte is a fantastic host: always super responsive, helpful, and welcoming throughout. My wife, our small dog, and I had the best experience, and we'd love to come back in the future. Easily one of the best Airbnb stays we've ever had. Highly recommended for everyone!"

Set in the pretty village of Bridge, the cottage looks over the fields and grounds of The Pig Hotel from the garden, with beautiful countryside walks leading straight from the door. Two village pubs are just a few minutes’ stroll away, making it easy to head out for dinner and stumble home afterwards. For coffee and a slow morning, Flo & Ted’s is just around the corner in the village, while Gilda’s Bakery in the neighbouring village is well worth the short trip for fresh bread and pastries.
For food further afield, The Goods Shed in Canterbury is a favourite for its farmers’ market and restaurant, while The Sportsman in Seasalter is worth the trip for a special meal by the coast. Around 35 minutes by car, Margate has a great food and art scene, with plenty of independent restaurants, cafés, shops and galleries to explore.
If you’re coming from London, the train from St Pancras to Canterbury West takes around 55 minutes, followed by a 10-minute taxi ride to the cottage.
